On Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, Judge Grady F. Tollison III denied bond for Sheldon Timothy Herrington, Jr. (from Grenada, Mississippi) at his Preliminary Hearing held in Oxford, Mississippi. Sheldon Timothy Herrington, Jr. is the suspect in the disappearance & death of Jimmy "Jay" Lee. Sheldon Timothy Herrington, Jr. is charged with the Murder of Jimmy "Jay" Lee & is being held without bond at

Layette County Detention Center.

Jimmy "Jay" Lee went missing on

July 8th 2022, which also is his mother's birthday. Jimmy "Jay" Lee's mother, Stephanie Lee, became concerned when she only heard from him early that morning via text. Officer told Stephanie Lee that Cadavar dogs alert 3 times of the smell of body in the area and decomposition in Sheldon Timothy Herrington, Jr's home.

According to authorities, admitted to having a relationship with Jimmy "Jay" Lee. Officers also revealed that Sheldon Timothy Herrington, Jr. Google search several times information about international travel & "how long it takes to strangle someone" minutes before Jimmy "Jay" Lee was set to arrive to the apartment. Later Investigators found out that Sheldon Timothy Herrington, Jr. had a moving service in Grenada, Mississippi.

 

Unfortunately, at this time Jimmy "Jay" Lee body has not been found.

There is a $5,000 (USD) REWARD by family & an additional $1,000 (USD) REWARD by Layfatte County Crime Stoppers for information leading to the whereabouts of Jimmy "Jay" Lee.
